Sealand of the Pacific

These are pictures my father took at a show at Victoria's Sealand of the Pacific in the fall of 1971. I'm not positive which whale is pictured. It might be Nootka, who was captured in 1970, but my guess is it's probably Haida. It's not Tilikum, the most infamous of the Sealand whales, who wasn't captured until 1983.

Another one of dad's trick shots. I'm not sure how he did this, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't by stuffing mom into a cannon.

Christmas Present

I remember this like it was yesterday, and not mumble mumble mumble years ago. After Christmas dinner, my grandfather pulled a big box from under the tree. What? For me? Golly, it's as big as I am!

You're Catching My Bad Side!

Dad took this shot in the back yard, probably in the 1980s. Clearly someone didn't want to have his picture taken!

Two years ago, I saw a raccoon in the same back yard. Mine was a little more friendly looking.

Here's a couple of pictures my father took of the lighted fountain at Centennial Square in Victoria in 1974. I assume they were taken at the same time as the set-ups look identical.
